I don't agree that you shouldn't call.  If you haven't received the
results of a FISH test in all that time, you should definitely
telephone and ask when the results came in and what they said.  No
doctor's office is too busy to answer a question that important.  One
should not be afraid to make queries and insist on answers.  If they've
lost the FISH results, you ask them to go back to the lab that
processed the test, get a copy of the result, inform you of it and
discuss what the results mean..  One really must not be passive or
afraid of bothering a doctor with a legitimate and necessary question
about one's condition.
