Blood Pressure med is called Diltiazem (Calcium Channel Blocker).  I take 180 mg daily.  I go back in about three weeks for follow up.  Can't say as I feel any better.  For past six months when I had an appt. with one of my doctors, it was always elevated....140's/mid 80's, so the decision was made to start medication.  Aren't the Golden Years wonderful....all the little maladies creeping up on us.  LOL.

I'm 67 and my blood pressure has gone up.  Sometimes they check it and it's 120/80, then a few weeks later it will be 142/87.  Was Med. are they giving you?  I started Gleevec in Feb of 2000.  Three pills a day, and doing O.K.
