Hello All,
I went to pick up my prescriptions yesterday at the pharmacy and one
of them was quinine for muscle cramps. There was a note from my
pharmacist that said it was the last time he would fill the script
because the FDA is taking it off the market for leg cramps, citing
severe side effects. I went to the FDA site and found the details.
Any of you out there taking it? CHeck out the site:

I see my hematologist/oncoloist tomorrow so I am anxious to see what
he prescibes for it now. I can't live with out something. Even on
quinine, I still suffer trememdously with cramping. I am finding
out something about good living and its impact on my side effects.
My husband and I went on weight watchers (I am a life time member
and know the program by heart) and began working out at the gym. He
has lost 35 pounds and I have lost 10 ( he has been on it 8 weeks
longer than I) and I will say, my brain fog, my coordination and my
memory is much improved. I do note that I am not as coordinated on
the treadmill as I used to be. I credit that to the joint effusion
because my hips and knees don't work like they should, but in all,
it has been a good thing since school break. I am sore with the
resistance training but it really does feel good. I am going for a
loss of 25 pounds before Christmas. Wish me luck!

Blessings to all~
