Frank: Glad your CT scan came back good.......how we worry when we have the "don't know" factor, huh?
I haven't had a cold, sore throat, or bug in quite a while, so......I just attribute the fluctuating CBC to the CML & Gleevec. When looking back at past tests......it shows that they go up a little and then back off a little.....so, I am use to it. I usually look to see where the Hemoglobin is at.....was told if it falls below 10, they usually want to do something........so far it hovers right around high 10's to 11. It's strange how other's blood results fall and they end up having to take different drugs to elevate their platelets or red or white cells......and then other's like me seem to level off and just hover around the borderline. Guess it has to do with the differences in our bodies' chemistry or something. And, too, could be the other different illnesses or diseases people have that might affect their blood. The good Lord made us all different, Thank God, so I am sure we would all react differently to these types of drugs. Sorry......I'm just sitting here in though and rambling.......:>).......I tend to do that from time to time. I certainly understand about your worries over your insurance and retiree benefits.......so much of that going on. I have good friends back in Ky. where he retired a couple of years back after putting in over thirty years at this one company......the employees left (none over ten years) are now trying to mess with doing away with those benefits (the company big shots are pushing it to the union). I don't know why companies do this when people who've been retired for years and count on their benefits end up being put through an emotional ringer worrying about losing their health coverage, etc. I told Roger that that is probably why you see so many older ones working now at McD."s & Walmart.
