Dear Group:
I have had CML for five years and have recently developed the G250E mutation
which, I understand, is sensitive to both dasatinib and nilotinib. I am now on
800 mg. of imatinib but PCR has gradually risen over the past months from
neglible to .5% PCR from the bone marrow and .3% PCR from peripheral blood.
FISH is 0/500 down from 2/500 about a month ago. Cytogenetics are pending.
My doc at MSKCC, who is considering switching me to dasatinib, says the
response data for patients for both these drugs is rather sparse.
Does anyone have info. or data on the G250E mutation and which drug is most
effective. It looks as if Gleevec and I will be getting a divorce.
Many thanks,
Carl Davies
