Hi all, for some reason some onc don't give the BMB's as often as others.
My onc gave me one when he suspected CML and never gave me another one until
my platelets recently started going up.
I have had PCRS, BLOOD FLOW and FISH with regular cbcs bi-weekly.
When I was dx my onc did the BMB right in the office.
Now, he doesn't do that anymore and sent me as on outpatient to a hospital.
I was put to sleep and never had any problems from it.
Good luck and blessings,
Jeanie<3

My husband was diagnosed with CML in June and had his first BMB in
September. We have since switched oncologists. His new oncologist says that
he does
not need another BMB at the present time because he is on Coumadin and
doesn't want him to have it because of the risk factor. (He is doing very well
on
the Gleevec.) Of course I don't want him to go through another painful BMB,
but I also feel that he is not getting the proper care because of the
Coumadin. Shouldn't a BMB be given every 6 months? I would appreciate any
feedback
and/or information.

Blessings to you all,
Lee
