Greenie, I want to suggest something. I took gleevec for 5 1/2 years. As time went on, my side effects intensifyed to the point that I had to take a 10 week break. ( I had been PCRU 5 years and consulted with Druker and my oncologist before doing so!). I restarted at 300 md and STILL they remained. The one new one that began is vertigo. With this, I woke up dizzy, had nausea and got shakey ( panicked when I felt so out of control!!). I have had it for 2 years. I switched to Tasigna and still it is there. Both drugs do a number with edema in my body and cause the spurring of vertigo. It is defintely a side effect of gleevec. I don't know if it is on the list for tasigna. I take Meclazine for it and it really does the trick. I am working on finding exercises that will help alleviate it. Google it and see if it doesn't explain how you feel. Also, be careful that we don't let this internet thing put all sorts of ideas in our heads!! Ha Good luck Greenie. Barb
