Hi Bob,

I can't speak to Cialis, but I can tell you about Viagra, which my
husband takes. He has found that Viagra seems to interact with
Gleevec by making his side effects worse, mainly nausea, fatigue, and
diarrhea. We also suspect that Gleevec effectively increases the dose
of Viagra. What he does to minimize this is take half of one Viagra
pill (he just breaks them in half) and makes sure that he takes it at
least 4 hours after he takes his Gleevec, preferably longer. He's on
600mg, so he usually takes 300 at breakfast and 300 at lunch. He also
takes an Aleve when he takes the Viagra because one side effect of it
is headache. When he does all this, he's fine and the half pill of
Viagra works very well. I think the main thing is to use the smallest
dose that will still be effective. Hope this is of some use to you.

Regards,

Adrienne
