Ciao Bob, Due to surgeries because of colon cancer (rectum amputation, colostomy) several functions were disturbed. My onc. prescribed me Cialis (20 mg). I am on 600 mg glivec and my last PCR results were: just on the detection line. I read warnings about Cialis for patients with CML and askes my doc about it. He told me that it could not do much harm and he advised me to consult constantly the messages in this group... I wrote to Novartis and asked them their opinion. According to them, Cialis would not be harmful if the CML is "under control". I do not know exactly what they mean by that... Anyway, I still am a little bit frightened and I take the Cialis very rarely, at the maximum 6 times a year... I kno this is a delicate item, but I am glad you started soeaking about it and I hope some more reactions will follow. I irrigate my colon, never take pilla of whatever kind before I finish the irrigation, I take the 600 mg Glivec at breakfast, befiore going to ork and if I take Cialis, always at least 8 hours after the Glivec. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone on Gleevec also takes Cialis. If so, what dose and frequency? I'm on 400mg/day Gleevec and am in discussions with my primary doc and the onc about proper dosing. Both are metabolized by Cyp3A4, but Gleevec is also an inhibitor.
