Oh Suzzie, please don't fret over the additional testing. Some docs
test for things they don't even suspect, they are just covering all
the bases (I've worked with many). He is probably just eliminating the
need for you to go in for MORE bloodwork - might as well do it in one
fell swoop. There are probably multiple reasons for a low platelet
count and he is just eliminating possibilities. He is being thorough -
don't sweat it (I know, easy for me to say). I try not to worry about
things like that - just go with the flow. Doesn't always work, but it
sure makes things easier when it does.
