Daniel: I know how hard it is with the fatigue........I had it really bad my first year with Gleevec, too. I started taking it about the 1st week of Feb. '04. I have progressed very well on Gleevec....currently at a 3 log reduction....I go a little up and then back down, but it doesn't worry me now as it did in the beginning. All the blood work looks good, so I figure the Gleevec is doing it's job. I don't get as fatigued now as in the beginning......I still have a day here and there, but nothing like in the early months (thank you, God). I think if you just stick with it and do what the others have said that works for them, you will notice a difference soon.
Something I did for myself that I think has helped me.......I started a supplement program (if you want to call it that). It was after reading some of the others in the CML Hope group talk about what they were taking. I figure it can't hurt any (LOL!!!) & I might be just wasting my money....but, I think they've helped me. Just keep hanging in there......and, I don't think I would trade drugs right now as long as the Gleevec is working like it seems to be doing for you. Come up with ways to combat the fatigue if you can.......& keep looking up.....
