Hi Skip and so glad you are back on some treatment. Trial and error seems to be the only way they can treat us. I am doing good on Tasigna so far, after a few ups and downs. I hope the new treatment works good for you. Blessings, Jeanie<3 In a message dated 12/30/2008 7:49:12 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes:
I see that a few of you have inquired about what is next for me. First I was without Internet and TV for over a week due to large storm, so I am sorry for delay in answering. My doctor said that he has to do something, so he put me back on Nilotinib and his plan is to start me at a very low dose. He started with 200mg a day and after two weeks he upped it to 400mg a day split 200 in the morning and 200 at night, we then will try in 3 weeks up once more to 600?. I have to have full blood work every Monday and CBC Thursday, they are keeping a very close watch on my liver. I guess he is trying his best by tinkering with the dose. Most of the other drugs I failed due to side effects. It is a trial and error situation, but on the other hand I feel ok and still have a good quality of life. I wish to thank all those who have e-mailed me and others who posted on these group with good wishes. I wish that Lottie was back up and around I miss her emails Thanks all SkipD dx'ed 30++++ years ago **************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail, Gmail, and Yahoo Mail.
