This group is a tremendous help, when I thought I was going crazy someone here always had the right answer for me. I don't post very often but am always lurking! In August of this year it will be 4 years since I was diagnosed, I had a very rough 1st year but got through it with the help of everyone here. I still haven't reached MMR but am close. I used to go to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota but they wanted to change me from gleevec to then next drug and I didn't feel very comfortable doing so, so I asked everyone's opinions and almost all agreed with me not too. Zavie gave me the name of a CML expert, Dr. Moshe Talpaz from the University of Michigan and I started going to him last fall. This guy is totally amazing, he too agreed not to take me off of gleevec. I'm not saying anything bad about Mayo, they helped me out but this place is definitely the place to go. Hang in there I know all the waiting is enough to push you over the edge, but I have faith your son will be just fine, I will be praying for him as I know everyone else will be and we all know the power of prayer is an amazing thing!
