Hi Daniel, Have you had your sugar checked lately.
This is often a sign of diabetes, but taking these chemo drugs can cause a
lot of things. I had boils when I first went on Gleevec.
Eat a lot of yogurt, it will fight the thrush.
Swish it around in your mouth.
Watch your sugar intake, thrush loves sugar.
Talk you your onc about it of course.
Good luck and blessings,
Jeanie<3

hi all,
i have recently developed what looks like a mild case of thrush (oral
candidiasis). basically, the presentation is a couple of white patches
on my tongue. i have had cml for about 1.7 years and have been in ccr
for about 6 months. i have never had anything like this before, but
know that it is symptom of being immuno-compromised, which seems odd
for me, because i feel pretty good and am experiencing only mild side
effects from my gleevec regimen. i have an appt to see my onc next
friday and am sure he will check cbc and stuff like that.

has anyone experienced anything similar? i did a literature review on
the topic and wasn't able to find much, but i often find the
discussion here more informative than journal articles anyway...

best,
daniel
