Camille, take to your Doctor about using Prevacid you can my it over the counter. Before it cost lot. But now it's much cheaper. It works well for me and a take one every 5 to 6 days. I'm had heart burn for years even before CML. It cost my insurance a lot of money. Now it's lest then 30.OO. Hi Pat, I sent out and email to all the people who were on 'K's' emails and have not received ANY confirmation either way to what has happened to her. I had hoped after your post that someone would know. K has been a great support to me since my dx 10/20/03. As for the side effects: right now I am having the WORST time with acid reflux/heartburn. I take Protonix for it but decided to experiment and wean off of it. I will be going back to Dana Farber the end of April. Guess I NEED it after all. The bone aches and being cold all the time are just par for the course. I'm 45 now so I attribute some of the aches to needing to eat healthier. With that I have been doing No high fructose corn syrup, no simple sugars/carbs...I am eating healthier and even with the acid reflux, the rest of me feels better.
