Suzan, I'm surprised you weren't placed on Sprycel first. That has been the usual progression after gleevec. I was on gleevec for 5.5 years before I started getting mutations that gleevec couldn't handle. Sprycell is like 300 times stronger. I will say the side effects for me were totally different than the gleevec. At this point I'm been on the Sprycel for a little over a year and I'm still totally negative.
