Bev: So sorry you had such an horrific experience with your
procedure. I have heard about some people who respond differently to
anesthetics, but I am not one of them. They gave me Profonol & I
went into such a wonderful deep sleep & woke up when it was all
done.......just like I asked them to do. (smile) They were such an
amazing staff of people and very caring. The only pain I had was from
the needle stick in my right hand when she was putting in an IV. &
she was very good about it that that didn't even hurt much. I am very
thankful that this turned out for me the way it did, so I won't have
to be such a "fraidy cat" next time it's time for one. (smile)
I can tell you this, I am a huge baby when it comes to any kind of
needles and blood....I don't want to know about it, don't want to feel
it, just get in there and get it done and let me go home. (smile) If
I were you, I would be the same as you. There is no reason what so
ever this day and age to allow someone pain. My husband went through
a very painful ordeal about three years ago when he had a Mylogram
done. I forgot how many shots of Morphine they kept giving him before
they finally finished. He told me later, if he'ld known how painful
that was going to be, he would never have had it done. He told them
his wife had been through numerous Bone Marrow Biopsies and had never
went through that much amount of pain. Things like this should not
happen if it's a caring & compassionate medical staff.

Keep Looking Up,
Suzieq
