Hi all CML Warriors: My husband recently talked to me about how he is looking into us going the "Self" insured route this year and I am just a wee bit concerned. We've always went with the insurances that our company has each year & been blessed that the one we choose covers me & my Gleevec for the past six years without any incidents occurring. He told me that it's costing between 800 to 900$ a month right now for my coverage (so does his cos' we're in that age group of over 55) and that is why he was looking for something that might be a little bit less. I know he'll check before hand to make sure they will cover any procedures I might have as well as my Gleevec. But, I am always a little leery when it comes to making changes.
Is anyone here in our group "self-insured" & if so, how's it working for you with your CML??
