I had those skin ulcers. Mine looked like boils and came in sets of three.
They would finally heal after a bleeding time, then I would be OK for a
while then they would come again.
I had those on Gleevec only.

Hi Keith the skin ulcers for me are sores that instead of healing continue
to get bigger and deeper. Definitely uncomfortable especially like around
the waist where clothes are really gonna fit a little snug. Just putting a
sheet or my body rubbing against ANY thing keeps it irrated. As for the
itching. Been there done that. They tried several different creams etc and
nothing really helped. So I decided one day to try vinger on the itchy areas.
This is also good to use on cold sores. The vinger does sting/burn for a
few minutes but the relief to me was worth it. I usually get up to several
hours and once for up to 24 hours. Yep don't ask me why I thought of vinger,
the doctor thought I was losing it, until he gave it a try on himself. Hope
this helps. By the way where are you stationed at.

Sever Itching is very common with Tasigna. It will go away after a while.
Hang In there,

My wife Carie switched from Gleevec to Tasigna about a month ago. She
has yet to reach remission, but she hasnt been tested since going on
the Tasigna so we dont know how well it is working. She was always
exhausted on Gleevec - it seemed to suck the energy right out of her.
On the Tasigna she has her energy back which is great, but she now has
hives all over her body and an itchy scalp. On a scale of acceptable
side effects she seems to find it easier to deal with the hives, but
still discomforting. Has anyone else experienced this on Tasigna? If
so, is there anything found to lessen the effects of the hives? Suzan
- what are the skin ulcer like?

from then until Nov 2008 and was switched to Tasigna because of all the bad
side effects I continued to suffer. I continue to have side effects with
Tasigna but not as severe except now I get skin ulcers with the Tasigna. I
lost 30 pounds right off the bat when I stopped the Gleevec which was good.
HOWEVER my last fish test in July showed me at ZERO on the molecular level.
WHOO. It has been a long journey as it is for all of us with side effects
and all but what a BLESSING to get the good news.
