I too had the muscle cramps while I was on Gleevec.  For immediate
relief I would take several Tums when I was working.  At home a friend
told me to soak a wash cloth in vineager and put it directly on the
cramp. That was instant relief that was unbelievable.  I took calcium
with D daily and that seemed to reduce the severity when they
happened. I still get them even though I have been off medications for
almost 2 1/2 years but not nearly as bad (I think part of it may be
caused by Iron Defiecent Anemia,)
