Hi Beth, I have CML and am doing fine, PCR has been undectable for quite awhile, once in a while there is a small blip but My husband has lung cancer and became very iron deficient with HG at 7. He had a transfusion and that did nothing. then they gave him a injection to stimulate the red blood cells and after about 3 weeks he was back to normal but, he could feel the difference almost immediately. HI Richard and anyone else who may answer this question....I have a question..I too am very iron deficient, ferritin at 5, hemoglobin at 10....no iron stores to draw from,...they are considering giving me iron infusions and I wondered how that worked for you, how much it helped, how quickly to see the results etc...I have heard mixed reviews...Iron pills, take a long time and constipate...and I already have that problem from the meds...Thanks.
