Hello to All, Many years ago I was a regular visitor to this group, more recently an occasional observer. You see, in June of 2001 I was diagnosed with CML. That was less than one month after Gleevec was approved. I began on Gleevec and soon held one of the coveted slots on Zavie's "Zero Club" list. Since then I have been on daily doses of Gleevec and have had the opportunity to watch my children, who were very young at the time of my diagnosis, grow up. Unfortunately, I also saw friends in other countries (where Gleevec was not available at the time) who I met on this site succumb to their disease. I am eternally greatful for the role that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society played in getting Gleevec to market for use by the general population in the United States. On January 13, 2013 I am participating in the Walt Disney World Marathon (my first full marathon) with Team in Training to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help in their continuing war against blood cancers. To read more about my story or, perhaps, make a donation to the LLS, please visit my fundraising site at: http://pages.teamintraining.org/in/wdw13/jhudspeth Thank you, Jennifer in Indiana
