Gleevec appears to have caused a lot of the melanin in my skin to be 
bleached out.  I used to be somewhat pale but now I'm incredibly white and 
can no longer go out in the sun without heavy-duty protection..and even 
that is iffy.  I grew up in Southern California and used to take it for 
granted that I could go to the beach or sit out in the sun with no problem. 
 Now, I have to cover up even in winter.
