I had my appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon in St. Louis this morning. He is very good, did my husband's Micro- surgery about 4 or 5 years ago. Really impressed me, so that's why I chose to go to him. He had seven X-rays made and received a copy of my MRI that was done last July. His dx'es, lots of Arthritis and Inflammation. He said that the Spinal Stenosis (L-3, L4, & L-5) wasn't bad enough to require surgery at this time, was really just a mild case. But needed to address this inflammation (prescribed a Steroid Pack) & is sending me to his Pain Management Doctor for treatment (possible Spinal Injections) on the 28th.
I was happy that it wasn't something that required surgery but not sure about Arthur paying me such a visit. Oh well, like I told one lady, if they can help me get rid of this awful pain to where I can walk better and sleep without waking up and trying to find a way to lay without pain, I will take these injections gladly. Still waiting for the BCR-ABL test to return, but I know it takes them a couple of weeks to get it back. Am really hoping and praying for another "None Detected"!!
