Dear Suzieq, just to commiserate...I had two MRI's done today to ssee how I am doing post last year's botched surgery..., and will do second injection at L5 in a couple of weeks..I have had sciatica and significant pain since my surgery...It's darn hard sometimes to fight this fight when you also have to battle other pain issues as well.. hopefully the pain injections will hel p[us both to be able to get stronger and stronger in the core, and fight well the CML....praying for you that injections will do the trick..and you will one day be pain free..or at aminumum, walk around with pain that is minimal and tolerated for a good quality of life! I was very nervous, but he was in and out within 5 minutes and there was some pain, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Afterwards, I was totally pain free, but it was back within about 4 hours, just not as bad. I would say we've eliminated about 50% of the pain. I am sure he will do another when I go back and probably one after that. They've told me that sometimes it takes a round of 3. If this doesn't work, then not sure where we will go from here. Now, just got to get up and out and get to walking again and build up my strength. Seems like it is always an uphill battle, isn't it.
