Hello all,

I have been on tasigna for 15 days, (lowest dose) and yesterday a problem came
up. This after being off all medication for over six years due to a couple of
brain bleeds while on gleevec. (diagnosed Feb. 2005). So....yesterday my eyes
crossed for about a minute - an hour after I took my tasigna. Also my right
hand is tingly. Also a slight headache deep inside brain. Called doc, his
advice was to stay off medication for one week and start again. Any thoughts?

You should also know that I had a hemorrhagic stroke 3 years ago which left
my left side tingly and numb permanently. I do have good strength in it, praise
the Lord. During the stroke and for 3 months following my right eye refused to
track with the other eye. Thank God it was restored. I have cavernous
malformations on my brain and until today the docs all thought it was just the
cavernous malformations that caused the brain bleeds.

My original decision that the medicine exacerbated the brain bleeds and stroke
appears to have been correct, regardless of what the docs said. So we have to
listen to our own bodies! Now I am really unsure what the future holds, but I
know I am in His hands!
18's,

Susan F. Zimmerman

Thanks Marty....You always have a way of making my day better. I will take one
day at a time, and hope for the best. I've been taking it easy today, as that
was my instructions from the doctor. I might even take tomorrow off too.....My
son, Christopher, helps me so much and I am blessed with having this wonderful
son in my life. God has his reasons for everything and he gave me Chris for
this time in my life. I don't know if I ever told you that he was my
daughter's son. She was killed in a car accident before he was two and has
always been with me as she was in the process of divorcing her husband. He
didn't want him, so I fought to keep him and have never regretted it. He's
brought me nothing but joy. In his eyes, and heart, I am his MOM....and I feel
the same about him. My other sons accepted him as a brother from the start, so
we are so fortunate in so many ways. I'll keep you up on the results. You
and your wife enjoy your stay in PA. I hope only the best for you.
18's back to you,
Many hugs too,
Millie
