Hi Joyce and this means a lot to me. I have a side pain and have wondered if the lung might be causing it. My onc just said we would keep an eye on it. I am a little behind in my reading and this is in response to Peg and Jeane who have written about lung lesions and ground glass nodules found in a CAT scan, and thinking they may be caused by Sprycel. I am going to muddy the waters at bit. When my husband was first diagnosed with CML May 8 2009 he had a full body CAT scan and they found the ground glass nodule effect. They also referred to it as mosaic lung. They did a biopsy on several spots and decided they were nothing to worry about. Yeah, try not to worry when they say they don't really know what it is or why it's there. So he had this condition before he ever took any TKIs. I am sure he had CML at least 2 years before it was DXd. We have wondered if CML, being not treated or diagnosed, caused the lung thing. So many questions..so few answers. This means nothing to anyone, I am sure. Just another observation of a CML patient. So glad we have this site to share experiences.
