I'm currently immersed in the painstaking process of determining business requirements for a new corporate intranet. I have already determined that a CMS is the way to go, but have been struggling with getting the financial and/or human resources to deploy such a system (whether open source or commercial, one or the other is always needed and I don't have the skills to do it all myself).
So out of the blue I get called into a meeting by the VP to see a demo of PeopleSoft's Enterprise Portal, which seemed to do much of what I think I would want it to do, and more beautifully the money to purchase this would come out of our PeopleSoft budget, which solves one of my major battles in implementing a CMS (and spares me from a possible future of spending my days policing 30 webmasters armed with FrontPage). I am thus inclined to take the bait, but as part of my due dilligence, would like to know if anyone has implemented this and has feedback in either direction on whether it delivers what it promises. Many thanks, Brendan Foley -- http://cms-list.org/ trim your replies for good karma.
