Jim
Following up on your post and in the same vien as Joseph Martins' first reply,
I can give you a indirect reference to a firm.

Background, I am an independent consultant working with a retail firm based in
the Pacific Northwest. In the fall of this year the firm was looking at
enterprise class document/content mgmt solutions. They, for a variety of
reasons, narrowed their platform choices down to Documentum and FileNet. I
was part of the team that was to evaluate both products, as part of that
effort we had both firms come in and present (typical dog & pony effort) to
us. One of the questions we asked was +IBw-Who are the top 3
integrators/implementers of your packages?+IB0 Both Documentum and FileNet
listed one firm, Covansys Corporation, (www.covansys.com) in their top three.
They both also listed their own professional services groups. Interesting
(for what it is worth) Documentum, only listed those 2, FileNet listed 1 other
firm.

We were a little intrigued; Covansys appears to be the normal systems
integrator/consulting firm, not bad size; $400 million, which we liked. It
meant that they were not going to go away tomorrow, but not so big that they
would act like a big five. They had a smaller +IBw-practice+IB0 that focused on
document/content management specifically and this was the group that
Documentum and FileNet both spoke about. We also liked the fact that their
price points were a lot lower than the vendor+IBk-s professional services groups
and they were willing to be flexible in structuring the agreement to provide
work in a manner that fit our plans.

If you are interested I can provide the contact information for the project
lead at this retail firm and he can probably provide the contact information
at Covansys. As I understand this firm is working through the set up of a
master services agreement with Covansys and plans on using them in 2003 for
the document/content mgmt implementation.

Good luck
