I have an application that needs to choose a userid from a list. However, if the list contains a certain userid (say, one called BOB), it should always choose BOB and ignore the others. I've come up with a way to do this that works, but it feels a bit kludgy to me. Without revealing how I did it, I'd like to solicit other approaches from you all (to see how well or poorly I did by myself ;-).
The output should be stored in a stem. The stem should have all the userid's in it, unless BOB was one of them in which case it should only have one entry, the one for BOB. Thanks in advance for your insights.
