Hi, Doug.

If you have a license for z/VM and have requested the restricted source
code feature, then I believe you do get (most of? all?) the source code
for CMS PIPELINEs. I'm sure JPH can enlighten us on exactly what is
provided.

CMS PIPELINEs is coded ion HLASM Assembler, using a set of sophisticated
macros that JPH devised himself to make his coding tasks easier. Mere
mortals may be somewhat intimidated by the code....:-)

Have a good one.

Subject: List of col positions

Take pity on a poor ex-Vm'er who doesn't have access to VM any more...
I've been trying to solve a problem in another programming language and
decided to write a pipe to clarify my thinking - it worked - I realised what
I needed and didn't need. However, during the thinking stage I
couldn't see how to solve this one...

Given (a) a file and (b) a list of keywords, how do I get a list
of column positions of the keywords in the file? Each keywd may occur
in any line, no order implied, multiple times, multiple keywords on a line
(including up to, and including, none of them).

Rownums are easy, colnums I couldn't see how, but then I'm out
of touch these days... ideas?

Cheers,

Rod
