Thanks for the info.  I should have been clearer about what we are
trying to do.

We want to be able to view pipeserver (servers running PipeServ) console
output in real time, using VM:Operator.

I tried SET SECUSER xxx, which routed all output to the xxx, but it also
kept the pipeserver from responding to requests.

In-built SCIF and the SCIF pkg are 2 different things (which you'll
know).
So which one are you really interested in?

I'm out of practise so this may be wrong and/or out of date but in the
SCIF pkg description is says it uses WAKEUP. This will be used to make
the connection to the *msg service. Since PIPESERV will use starmsg to
trap the incoming IUCV msgs and, if I remember rightly, you can only
have one of these (unless it's changed), then...

On the other hand, if you want to use the inbuilt SCIF stuff and not
really
the pkg, then PIPESERV should handle it ok.
