Being able to store strings in the counters in 407 emulation is a
rather new feature, so it's probably not something you do every day
;-)   And as the Piper says, you would have known by CMS Pipelines
abend with an assert failure.
Clearly if you were planning now to start writing pipes that depend on
this feature very heavy, you may want to pick up the new NXPIPE in
advance.
