Gil, I only asked your Pipes level because (well, it helps to know when diagnosing a problem, and...) my apparently slightly older Pipes RTL does not display any help for WAITDEV. But the PIPELINE NEWS file has significantly different and more detailed doc than what you showed from the PIPE AHELP WAITDEV.
