The big thing I still see missing in the encoding to enable this is a syntax to specify stream numbers on labels. When I try to reuse pieces of complicated pipeline sets, in twisting them around to fit I usually wind up with a bunch of FANIN and FANOUTs that do nothing but connect little "a:|b:" pipelines that have to be painstakingly juggled into the right places to connect the right streams. ¬R
