I'm not aware of an interface to XEDIT that would allow a CMS Pipelines stage to access the content of the file without positioning it. To simulate that by setting and restoring the current position would be tedious. My head hurts when I try to imagine what it should do when other stages in the pipeline are inserting or deleting lines. Rob
