First: if there is an archive of this CMS list, could someone send a
link? I didn't find anything on the website.
A client of mine is convinced his project needs to be built on Plone/
Zope (http://plone.org). It seems like a good fit, so I'm willing to
go along with it. The HTML/CSS/AJAX templates are already being
developed, but this decision on the backend technology has taken an
inordinate amount of time and we're far behind. Therefore, whatever
we settle on will need to support the (X)HTML+CSS that we're doing in
a fairly reasonable manner because it won't be changing.
Moreover, since we have no experience with Plone, tips toward helping
us find capable Plone developers to subcontract to would be very
valuable. So:
1- does anyone with experience in creating templates for Plone have
any advice, warnings, or other caveats for standards-based
development under that framework? (I've read Roger Johansson's
comments on the matter -- nearly scared me off.)
2- does anyone with experience in creating Plone-based applications
with strong workflow requirements want a job that starts yesterday? :)
Advice on building is welcome on the list; work inquiries are
probably best sent to me directly.
Thanks, all.
