That is probably the reason I see problems, since both OpenMotif 2.2.3
and LessTif 0.93.97 are installed here.  It is the size change message
for whatever symbol that was that seems to be the important part.  You
can get an apparently working motif debugger with that size message
present, but after awhile cmucl gets flaky and unstable (I think I
recall some data corruption too), so it is clear there is something
wrong.

Perhaps including your LessTif lib in the 'extras' package, and having
the cmu user adjust his ld.so.conf (if necessary) might resolve the
issue, if CMUCL will look in the right place first.
