I concur.

You (in general, not Pierre) would go a long in bribing someone (hint,
hint) if you gave a maintainer an Alpha/Linux box that's reasonably
fast. :-)  

But that's a lot of work since CMUCL has Alpha support for Digital
Unix, not Linux.
