The integration of the development environment with the Lisp is a different matter. Emacs (non-threaded) with an environment written in elisp (doesn't integrated with underlying Lisp) and ilisp (pretty thin layer with very few support and integration) is truly a shame when comparing the combo to what the Lisp world once had. Allegro's emacs interface is slightly more polished but underfeatured and doesn't play with other implementations. Martin
