Like Rich says, gelcoat colors vary not only from boat to boat but also on the
same boat.  If a boat has been moored with one side facing the sun for years,
that side may be lighter than the other side.

Too bad it's a small area and you're not doing gelcoat.  If you were doing a
large area, Fiberglast.com is running a special on color gelcoat.  You can rent
their 720 color or 188 color books for 30 days for $5, match the color and
order a gallon of gelcoat for 20% off.  This is what I'll do when I decide to
re-gelcoat Touche' deck.

Go to a paint store, select a bunch of color swatches, go back to the boat and
match the color.  Wander around the marina and see if you can match the swatch
to a relatively new (2005 or newer) production boat.  If you get a close match,
go to Spectrum Color (http://spectrumcolor.com/Items.aspx?code=K&key=cat) and
buy a jar of gel paste made to match that boat and patch the spots.  I use
Spectrum gel paste often.  It's a really good product.   I've done gelcoat
repairs on newer Beneteaus, Catalinas and Hunters that were extremely close
matches.
