I have a Vires 7 in my barn. It worked when i took it out, I think it needs
someone who is mechanically inclined.......I am not.

Subject: Stus-List inboards for c&c 26
I am buying a C&C 26 and the original motor is gone and a outboard is on there
now. My wife is a sailor and hates outboards and I am interested in putting a
inboard in on a budget. Are rebuilt vire 7 engines available? Are they a good
engine or should I look for a Yanmar diesel? Another question I have is we sail
in the shipping lanes in the Hudson and if the motor quits I have to be able to
get out of the way. Has anyone used a electric trolling type motor as a back
