So some appear to have solid shafts and some have 2.25" O.D. 0.25 wall hollow shafts. That is what I think mine is, but am not quite sure, although at the top of mine there is a narrower bit with a square nut which looks welded on almost like the shaft was hollow.
I am looking at getting Competition Composites to build a new one and they can use the old post or replace with carbon fibre. At that point, there is a whole discussion on another forum in which I participate with respects to CF vs SS....inc full strength analysis. I will keep the list posted.
