I called the boatyard this morning and Lolita is still afloat. They lost a
couple of boats they said. At the house we lost power and the utilities were
ripped off the house by a downed tree falling on the wires at the street and
bending the pole enough to pull the wires loose. Another oak tree on my
property lost a couple of limbs which took out the neighbors fence. So, we
have a generator running and have the essentials powered up and we'll be fine
til the power comes back on. I can't wait to get down and see the boat.

Its been interesting to see the Weather Channel reporting from Mystic and
Stonington, since we were just there in September for the rendezvous.... I
haven't heard of any damage to the seaport itself, but it looks like the outer
harbor and coastline took a hit. How did the boats in Mass and Rhode Island
fare?
