I have an old laptop with a camera. Aim it into the bilge with a ruler in the bilge so I can see if the pump is working. Its not as good as an alarm, but its better than not having anything. I have a couple of these cameras at home as so far it is a major PITA trying to get them through the local ISP so I can see them from outside my home LAN. You would need to arrange port forwarding with the marina more than likely. What I do now is FTP every 5 minutes or so. http://www.amazon.com/Wansview-Outdoor-Waterproof-Wireless-Detection/dp/B0047CKAN4/ref=sr_1_33?ie=UTF8&qid=1353956311&sr=8-33&keywords=wifi+camera Joe Della Barba Coquina C&C 35 MK I From: CnC-List [mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>] On Behalf Of Dennis C. There are wireless bilge and boat systems monitors available. They will alert you when a problem is observed. Do some research to see if one satisfies your needs. I could leave the bilge open and check on the boat remotely.
