The oil change pump isn't an option on a Beta - it's standard. It's also
shipped with Westerbeke's and Universal diesels, but it's a loose part, not
mounted on the engine and plumbed to the oil pan as it is on the Betas.

I have a Westerbeke, but I don't know anyone who has a Beta that doesn't
swear by it,

And when I was repowering a couple of years ago, the 4 cyl 32/35 hp Beta (I
can't recall which) was about $1700 less than a 3 cyl 30 hp Yanmar.

Gord -- no direct experience with re-powering a 33; but my former sailing
instructor re-powered his Westsail 32 with a BetaMarine engine, and loves
it. He could easily remote the oil filter for ease in changing it, and he
got the oil change pump option, as well. He said the price was several
thousand less than going with a Yanmar; and he gets parts at Kubota tractor
shops.
