One of the first thoughts Lynn and I had when we got Alera was the
circumnavigation of Vancouver. Though, to be honest, that's probably
a few years off. That said, any advice on what route to take or how
long it takes. would be just great!
This coming year I suspect our cruising itinerary will be pretty much
the same as last year. We do the Quartermaster Yacht Club meet-ups
in Olympia for Memorial day, Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Paulsbo and stuff
like that. Mostly extended week ends. Then our main trip each
summer to the San Juan Islands and Canada that includes the QYC Deer
Harbor meet up. We seem to be going out a little longer and a little
farther north each year. Last year we did 23 days and made it as far
north as Pender Harbor. But I think that spending more time in each
location, anchoring more, and not trying to do back to back all day
runs to get anywhere will probably become our core philoso[phy going forward.
One thing I hope to do for sure is one or both of the C&C Rendezvous
(US and CA) this summer.
