Hey Steve

I think I got that same Garmin Blue Chart Americas cd but unfortunately
I installed the charts I purchased on 2 different GPS's already, my gps
and a friends, I seem to recall that was all that was allowed, install
on 2 devices.

I think that you are a wizard with electronics and stuff like that, is
there any way I can cheat and install the charts from that cd on another
GPS, and also is there a way without paying more to Garmin to gain
access to more of the charts on the disc than just the ones I paid to
load to my GPS from it.

I picked up a couple of blocks from Garhauer and a Garmin GPS 78 from
(Radio World?). There was a Garmin rep with the electronics who assured
me that my unused Bluechart Americas CD would work with the GPS 78, but
an inspection of the Garmin web site seems to contradict this. Hard to
tell, since Garmin has removed almost all refrence to the discontinued
Bluecharts and offers no support whatsoever. More later when I figure it
out.

Tartan C&C has been at the Toronto show in the past, but they are in the
process of recovering from a serious financial setback and a change of
ownership. Someone posted a link here a few days ago to a newspaper
article regarding their status. They are at the Cleveland boat show if I
recall correctly. United has direct flights from Toronto, but you had
better be prepared for a 2 mile walk to the furthest corner of the
airport. I took a connecting flight through Cleveland in November, and
that is a long walk if your luggage does not have wheels.

Those who live in the Toronto area anyway?

I wish they would show a C&C or Tartan at the show but they only bring
out the Catalinas, Hunters, Dufours etc.

I made off with the customary boat hook and I got a great deal on the
discontinued Raymarine ST40 Depth and Speed instruments. Boxing day
deals got me a bluetooth kenwood stereo and infinity speakers for the
cabin so I've got some gadget installation to do before launch... which
I'm eagerly looking forward to. Spring is just around the corner!

Any highlights? I went on a weeknight so I likely missed some stuff.
