The good, the bad, and the ugly… Most of the shear was ground down to the cloth for exploratory inspection. The existing paint was cracking in a lot of areas. Fortunately it was mostly only gelcoat cracking. There is one spot that we found wet balsa core on the starboard side just ahead of the transom. This was exposed, found the dry margins, cored, filled and re-glassed.
