I did try something like this a few years ago and did not have very good results with Micron CSC.  It did not adhere well.  I switched to Pettit zinc paint as well and had better results.  

Martin- Do you remove the old zinc paint each year or rough the residual and add another coat?  Dave

PS- Note the signature line.  I happily and officially rejoin the C&C family tomorrow with my "new" boat.

Calypso’s 3 blade MAX prop has been painted in a similar way for years.  I use the Pettit Barnacle Barrier zinc paint without the chromate primer successfully.  I typically change down on sandpaper grit to 120 after the worst of the old paint is off.
